ONNERRI DAK EVENT WITH REFENTSE WARMED HEARTS ALL AROUND

More than 400 people attended the first ‘Onnerridak’ event made possible by Just Property George on 24 June 2017 at Carpe Diem School.  From the get-go guests were overwhelmed by the hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the team of Carpe Diem School.  Friendly faces all around and fires burning high in the hospitality area was a sure sign that it would be an event to remember.

 

Refentse delivered a performance that spoke to everyone’s heart.  Rainer de Meyer who accompanied him on bass guitar, a musician in his own right, added to the depth of the sound.  Refentse undoubtedly earned each of the rewards he recently won!  Jonty Hendrix and Wade, the two local artists, who performed before Refentse did everyone proud and the Garden Route has bragging rights to their talent. Without Pieter and Karin, owners of Just Property George backing the evening, and the effort of their dynamic personnel, this event would not have been possible.

 

The “Onnerridak” event was unique in that guests could enjoy hearty soup and home baked bread, curry and rice and boerie rolls before the performances started.  ReedValley hosted an extraordinary wine tasting experience true to the style of its owners.  Brand Republic also presented great tasting wines and guests relished in the complexity and aroma of all the wines on show.  The event was undoubtedly a remarkable compilation of food, wine and music.

 

Carpe Diem School is known for its unique fundraising events.  Headmaster Karools Hauptfleisch manages to build events into successful brands with great outcomes.  The ‘Onnerridak’ event is part of the ‘inhouse brands’ of Carpe Diem School.  It is expected that this event will be much loved like the Gourmets and Gourmands, which will take place for the 9th consecutive year on 26 August 2017.  Funds raised during the ‘Onnerridak’ event will be allocated to purchase nappies and catheters for learners who are incontinent.
